Amendments Regarding Regulation and Notification on Information Systems and Electronic Banking Services of Banks
The “Regulation on Information Systems and Electronic Banking Services of Banks” has been amended through the Official Gazette dated 20/06/2020,. The nullification of the “Declaration on Principles to be Based on Information Systems Management in Banks” on 1 July 2020, this has been postponed from 1 July 2020 to 1 January 2020 on the same issue of the Gazette.
Prior to the amendment, all Articles of the Regulation were set to enter into force on 01 July 2020. With the amendment, the enforcement date of the Regulation has been postponed to 01 January 2021, with the exception of certain articles.
Articles not within the scope of the postponement and are set to enter into force on 01 July 2020 are as follows;
- Article 13: The establishment and tracking of records
- Article 29: Management of external service procurement
- Article 34 ( Only paragraphs 13 and 15): Authentication and transaction security
- Article 37 (Only paragraph 8): Informing the customers
- Article 40: Authentication, transaction security and service quality in telephone banking.
- Article 42: Authentication and transaction security at ATMs
